Short Story Erotica Reviews

Short Story Erotica Reviews

Hey guys, due to my impromptu holiday that I took this last month, I've been reviewing in bundles. For this post, I will be reviewing all of the short story erotica reviews that I never reviewed this past month, leaving me uncomfortably aroused ;)
Enjoy

Orgasmic Anthology

This book, was probably the most interesting of the bunch, which is what I start with. It sprung from a delicious idea- a book that explores every type of orgasm! Not read as a theology paper, instead a series of short, sexual encounters, it was very interesting and filled this dirty mind with dirty ideas.

Roid Rage by Alice May Ball

This book, I read based on curiosity. Turns out, it was a complete sex-novel. Belle's boyfriend abandoned her, so she takes up a Biker's proposition to service them at their clubhouse in the middle of the desert, and then about what happens. It's not there wasn't any other choices! But, shocker!, she finds she enjoys her new job!

Owning his Bride by Sue Lyndon

Disclaimer: I know how this sounds, but Owning his Bride is actually a science-fiction novel. Our heroine is a prisoner on a planet for a crime she didn't commit and the warden of the prison beats her (lots)! When a warden or guard completes five years serving at the prison, they are rewarded with large sums of money, and they get to choose a female from the prison to be his wife. This wife would have no rights and the male could do whatever he chooses to this prisoner. Our heroine, Becca, is terrified that the Warden will choose her after his month is up, and he would, but our hero, Hunter, chooses her instead. This a romance, not a macho "I own you", but there is lots of spanking for disobedience, and a doctor's examination based mostly on sexual preferences to see if she was a good choice for our guard. This a hot, hot, hot short story romance, with not great writing.

Huddle: Sex with Sporty Queers Anthology

This book was entirely guy-on-guy, and some of them were just strange, however there were one or two that were fairly enticing to read....

Rock Hard Review

What did I think of...

Rock Hard by Nalini Singh

Description:

Wealthy businessman Gabriel Bishop rules the boardroom with the same determination and ruthlessness that made him a rock star on the rugby field. He knows what he wants, and he’ll go after it no-holds-barred.

And what he wants is Charlotte Baird.

Charlotte knows she’s a mouse. Emotionally scarred and painfully shy, she just wants to do her job and remain as invisible as possible. But the new CEO—a brilliant, broad-shouldered T-Rex of a man who growls and storms through the office, leaving carnage in his wake—clearly has other plans. Plans that may be equal parts business and bedroom.

If Charlotte intends to survive this battle of wits and hearts, the mouse will have to learn to wrangle the T-Rex. Game on.

Genre: Erotic Romance, Sports, NA/Adult, Erotica, Dirty Romance, Abuse, Contemporary.

I've been holding a candle to Nalini Singh for years, and intended to wait until after all of her Psy-Changeling books were out... but that didn't happen. It happened like this.

I was in between books on Friday, so I was trolling around online; stalking the usual book blogs and sites. On one of them, I saw a link to read this online. So I started reading, and was shocked at how good it was! I scrolled up to look at the author... and it was Nalini Singh! Since she's like on book freaking fourteen or something, I imagine it will be awhile.

Today is the start of my new Nalini Singh Crusade... starting with Rock Addiction, book one since I accidentally started with book two... *guilty look* I know, I know.
Anyway, into the book.

The writing style was Absolutely Incredible. On par with my favorites, Kristen Ashley and Ilona Andrews! The characters were so real, and the connection they had was undeniable. Both in friendliness, love and red-hot passion. The stark terror that Charlotte felt was horrifying, and the determination she held to get over it was humbling. Gabriel's hopelessness for Charlotte's internal battle was saddening, and the outrageous flirting those two (by two I mean Gabriel) exhibitied was fun to read!

In conclusion, I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Charlotte and Gabriel, the back-and-forth between the mouse and the T-Rex and highly recommend this awesome read!

Mystery Man Review

What did I think of....

Mystery Man by Kristen Ashley?

Description:

Night time is the right time...

Gwendolyn Kidd has met the man of her dreams. He's hot, he's sexy, and what started as a no-names-exchanged night of passion has blossomed into a year and a half-long pleasure fest. Sure, it's a little strange that he only appears in her bed at night, but Gwen is so sure he's the one, she just can't turn him away...

Hawk Delgado knows more about Gwen than she could ever imagine. She's gorgeous, headstrong, and skittish about relationships. But Hawk is facing his own demons, demons that keep him from connecting with anyone. Yet when Gwen is drawn into Denver's lethal underground scene, Hawk's protective nature comes out full force. The problem is, when Gwen gets a dose of Hawk's Alpha attitude in the daylight, she's not so sure he's the one anymore....

Genre's: Romance, Contemporary, Adult, Erotica, Dirty Romance, Chick-Lit, Romantic Suspense, Women's Fiction.

I absolutely adore Kristen Ashley, and this book only proves it.

Gwendolyn Kidd has had a visitor about once a week for a year and a half. She doesn't know his name. All she knows is he gives out-of-this-world orgasms, can easily get in her house without a key, and that the last part is partly because he can probably walk through walls. Oh, and she's sure that he is the one.
However, when her sister, Ginger, gets in trouble, Gwen turns into a target. Drive-by's, Fires, kidnappings and some serious amounts of cookie dough become the result. Oh, that, and when Gwen tries to tell her visitor that their "fling" is over, she learns his name, and finds that he is, in fact, not a vampire and her Great MM (Mystery Man) can be in sunlight.
Hawk Delgado knew that a relationship for him was impossible and gives Gwen everything he can. But when she's in danger, he steps up to the task of knight in cargo's, and learns more about his woman, and he can't stop himself from pursuing her.

The writing is superb, as usual, and makes you just sink into the story like you would a comfortable couch. The story is action-packed, hilarious, romantic and HOT.

Gwendolyn was a hoot to read, and I thoroughly enjoyed her.
But I think it's safe to say I enjoyed Hawk more. Vicariously, of course.

Gwen's friends, Cam and Tracey and Elvira, were great, and made me laugh so hard! Especially Elvira, Hawk PA. Cam's husband, Leo, was even better than Cam and Tracey, though. He was sweet, but so clueless! Love him!

My first pet peeve is Insta-love. Unless done really well, I call BS by the truckloads.
My second is love triangles. Again, unless done really well, I say neither.

Mystery Man had a love square. We had Hawk (obviously), we had Tack (President of the Chaos MC), and we had Mitch Lawson (Detective with Gwendolyn's case). They will have their own books later, but damn. My girl, Gwendolyn, was surrounded by HOT-ness!

I've always admired KA's love triangles/squares, because they are all done really well and with class. There is no hemming and hawing, dithering and eenie-meenie-minie-mowing. The women always know who they want. The others are just really hot eye candy.

I know, if you read it, you will love Mystery Man of the Dream Man series. Highly recommended.

Kat

New Gem?

Madeleine Abducted by M.S. Willis

Description:

She was meant to be his destruction…
A pawn played in a perilous game between father and son…
Yet, her strength was more than either man could imagine.
As Maddy learns to save herself…
She becomes the one thing that could set the son free.

Madeleine Clark was raised to become a concert cellist. Sheltered and naïve, she remains hidden behind her music, a protection from the world around her. On the night of her first solo performance, Maddy accepts the admiration of a stranger and finds herself captive in a cruel and twisted power struggle between a sadistic father and his son, Aaron.

Seemingly dangerous and uncaring, Aaron manages the business operations of his father’s estate. Wanting nothing to do with the slaves kept at the Estate, Aaron refuses to take part in the deeper depravities of his father. Despite his resistance, Aaron’s father ‘gifts’ him with a petite, brunette woman he can’t refuse.

A bond forged in conspiracy and deceit, Aaron struggles to save Maddy by teaching her to survive in the world in which he’d been raised. An unlikely union, Aaron soon learns that great strengths can exist within small packages, while Madeleine learns that love and light can exist in the darkest of places.

This sounds really good guys... has anyone read it that can give me their opinion? Or other books by this same author that they either really enjoyed or really hated?
